The Portland Gay Pride Parade is a favorite event of mine because its such a
party-on-wheels. Nothing beats stepping out onto Congress St. to the roar of the crowd, cheering, clapping, hooting and hollering when they spot our Richmond Sauna - "Be Who You Are" sign. Five of us 'came out' (just a pun) to walk in the parade and I'm grateful to my friends who were part of our group for this event. Tia's outfit won the Parade's Best costume award, and she was featured in the newspaper. She spent hours sewing sequins on the sleeves of hubby Charles' business suit jacket. Thank you everyone for being part of this fun event. It's our way of saying thank you to the Pride Community for their great support of the Richmond Sauna all year long. Plus it's just a blast!
